JSOC Donations Guidelines

Jai Jinendra! Khub Khub Anumodana for your donations to Jain Samaj of Colorado (JSOC). Your donation allows you to practice the principle of Daan (giving) and earn spiritual merit by supporting JSOC, while upholding the Jain values of non-violence and compassion.

All donations to Jain Samaj of Colorado will be directed to the cause specified by the donor based on the following guidelines.

• JSOC Center donations – used towards all JSOC Center expenses (property purchase, construction, remodeling, loan re-payments, operational expenses)
  • Dev Dravya donations – will be used exclusively for Temple (rangmandap) and Kesar/Puja room related expenses. Excess Dev Dravya funds will be allocated for future expenses, or disbursed to other Jain Temples as needed
  • Religious Laabhs (Ghee Bolis and Nakro) – will be allocated to Dev Dravya donations (starting from Nov 1, 2025)
• JSOC Membership Fees – used for JSOC general expenses (admin expenses, Web hosting, Zoom conferencing, etc.) and social events (e.g. picnic, sports day)
• Jeev Daya donations – used for Jeev Daya causes and donated to Jeev raksha institutions (USA and India), as needed
• Paathshala Donations – used to purchase of religious books, materials and for kids and adult educational activities
• Event Sponsorships & Donations – used for JSOC event expenses
• Fundraisers – used for the specific cause
• General (Sadhaaran) Donations – all other donations will be categorized as General (Sadhaaran) funds and will be disbursed by the JSOC Committee as needed.

Note: The Executive Committee reserves the right to update any documents as deemed necessary with appropriate notification to the members. In case of disputes/conflicts the Executive Committee shall facilitate the resolution and decision of the Executive Committee shall be final.
