Jain Samaj of Colorado (JSOC) is a non-profit organization encouraging doctrine and practices of Jainism. The JSOC community is growing and keeping our future generations in mind, we have been actively pursuing to build our own Jain Temple and Center in CO. The Jain Temple will serve all our sects of Jainism and will provide a platform to continue collaborating and following our core values.

The JSOC member families host various events at their homes or rental at outside locations like schools, libraries, recreation centers. The Jain Temple and Center will provide a dedicated location where we can all do puja, bhakti, swadhyay and community events.

The JSOC core committee has appointed a separate JSOC Center group that is leading the efforts to build a Jain Temple in CO. The group has done extensive studies, surveys, searches for rental properties, existing churches (to convert), residential and commercial properties, and land to identify the best way forward for the Jain Community in CO.

The JSOC Committee and JSOC Center group are actively pursuing plans to purchase an existing property that can be converted to our own Jain Temple/Center and serve the needs for our community. The committee also continues to work on the longer-term efforts of building a Jain Temple.

The JSOC core committee and a separate JSOC Center group are working together to build our Jain Temple in CO. The team continues to get Support and Feedback from all JSOC members as we continue our efforts.

We are always looking for volunteers to help the JSOC Center group. Please reach out to any of the committee members if you are interested.

JSOC currently has net assets of approx. $70,000 that is reserved for the future JSOC Temple/Center project.

Membership Donations – are used for regular samaj activites, events, rentals etc.

Paathshala Donations – are used for childrens’ paathshala activities, books, field trips etc.

JSOC Center Donations – reserved to build and maintain the future Jain Temple/Center in CO

JSOC is looking for all members, families, friends to donate generously to build our future Jain Temple/Center in CO.

We will need $1M+ to build a Jain Temple (acquire existing property and remodel) that meets the current and future (near-term) needs of our Jain community in CO. JSOC is striving to raise maximum donations and remain debt-free.

JSOC has net assets of approx. $70,000 reserved for the JSOC Temple/Center project.

We are working with our local JSOC community members to continue to raise funds for the new Jain Temple via cash donations and boli/labh. Our goal is to raise the maximum donations from our JSOC community to realize our dream and build our Jain Temple in CO.

The JSOC Center group is also working with JAINA and other Jain Samaj in North America and India to promote our efforts and raise additional funds.

Our goal is to build our Jain Temple in CO as quickly as possible so we can serve our local JSOC family and also invite other Jain families to make CO their home.

Your donation is very important for us to realize this goal. We cannot promise when the new Jain Temple in CO will be functional, but we promise to continue to work tirelessly to make this possible for our current and future generations.

The JSOC families have been working together for several years to build our Jain Temple in CO and funding is most critical for us to be able to buy, build and maintain our Jain Temple.

Your donations today will allow us to continue the work to buy a suitable property for our Jain Temple as soon as it’s available. Not having the funds already in our bank can create challenges in the process to acquire a new property when it’s available.

The Jain Temple in CO will serve all current and future Jain families for many generations and your donations will be invaluable. Personal situations may change, but our goal is to ensure that we can continue to promote the core values of Jainism for all future generations who make CO their home.

Please donate generously now. There is never a better time to donate. The JSOC group continues to work tirelessly to build a Jain Temple in CO.

We have categories of Donor levels and Founder donors donating above $15K will be recognized on a board or a wall, with names of their choices. There will be limit on number of names we can put on that recognition board.

There will be limited number of Laabhs to be availed as well. Which might or might not get similar recognition as above

Please work with committee for further details which are still being worked upon.

Laabhs are working in progress with JCG. Please contact JSOC Committee for more information.

Your donations remain with JSOC and will be used for the future Jain Temple in CO.

In rare case if JSOC itself ceases to function, then the funds would be distributed per the Samaj’s constitution. At present these funds would go to another non-profit org. which is JAINA.

We don’t plan to/expect to return any donations to individual donors.

Yes, please reach out to the JSOC Committee to discuss. We will work with all loaners on a uniform contract with terms that are agreeable to all.

JSOC prefers minimal interest (or interest-free loans) in compliance with US tax laws.

Please reach out to the JSOC Committee to discuss.

JSOC will continue our fund raising activities from within the JSOC Community in CO and from outside donors to re-pay all loans in a reasonable amount of time and become debt-free as soon as possible.

JSOC also expects regular donations from the Samaj members once we have our Jain Temple ready which will allow us to continue to support the Jain Temple for all operational expenses, temple improvements and loan re-payments.

JSOC will strive to re-pay all loans in a reasonable amount of time and become debt-free as soon as possible. We will work with all loaners on a uniform contract with terms that are agreeable to all.

JSOC will strive to re-pay all loans as soon as possible.

We don’t expect this, but if JSOC in not able to re-pay their loans after all possible options then the JSOC committee (after consulting with JAINA and other Jain Samaj) will look to sell the Jain Temple/Center assets and re-pay all loans.

We do not prefer this clause. JSOC will strive to re-pay all loans as soon as possible or within the loan re-payment period as agreed in the loan contract.

It may be possible, but we need to consult with loan experts for this.
